John Ashcroft is an evil little man. He was so unpopular as a senator he failed to win re-election when he ran against Mel Carnahan (who had passed away in a plane crash a few weeks before election day). Rather than send him packing back to Missouri Bush made him Attorney General and the rest is unconstitutional history.

The Patriot Act takes away our right to privacy...and Ashcroft has been pushing hard lately to further expand the act and give the government even more power.
